As designers and makers who use both hand and digital skills, we are in two minds about DALL·E 2. On the one hand it’s very cool and really is a lot of fun, but it is also bizarrely impressive, which potentially renders it a threat to future creative jobs and could trigger a big shift in creative thought, process and skill.

We’re not sure, but this is our human painting on the left. We tried to replicate it using DALL·E 2 by describing it in a sentence: “Black ink drawing of 11 mackerel fish arranged in the shape of a fan with yellow pink and blue watercolour background”.
